Psychotherapy, a way to feel better
I help people who are struggling with feeling stuck, lost, or burnt out. Stuck with the way their lives look at the moment, how they feel, with their jobs or careers, or in their relationships.
And struggling is hard – I get it, I really do! But struggling is human, and we struggle despite being competent, well-meaning, high achievers.
When my clients first come to therapy, they feel overwhelmed, they may “freeze”, feel numb, or unmotivated. They find it difficult to perform tasks they once did with ease. They feel unable to prioritize self-care and rest, making it difficult to create balance in their lives. They wonder why things aren’t going the way they imagined.
Negative self-talk keeps them in spirals of self-blame and self-doubt. They are unknowingly very hard on themselves. The negative voices constantly find others to compare themselves to. As days pass, regret grows for time that has been lost procrastinating instead of taking action to achieve what they want.
But feeling stuck is not their fault. Finding solutions sometimes requires an outside view. Like you, my clients have tried many different ways to help themselves feel better. They have even thought of therapy before, but now they feel ready to try something different and take charge of their lives to make positive changes for their present and future.
You deserve to feel well. You deserve to thrive. My mission is to help you learn to get to know yourself well, by understanding your thought patterns and the behaviors they cause. I want to help you acquire the tools necessary to make positive changes to build the life that you want. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a client transform their lives.
